New Surface device that runs Windows Cloud — Microsoft rumor

Stay tuned for more updates on Surface Pro 5 and Surface Book 2! This included a "cloudbook" ID, and we could see that the apps have an educational goal. Should Microsoft release a CloudBook to compete with the Google Chromebook? Nevertheless, Belfiore started chirping again on Twitter recently and he's also been talking to Mashable about his return and responsibilities after the long break. In short, the company is working on a streamlined new version of Windows 10 which is designed for the educational market.

Given the education-oriented theme of the spring event in NY, reports suggest that Microsoft corporate vice president of operating systems group Joe Belfiore will be in attendance since his new position at the tech company includes educational advocacy, among other duties and responsibilities. Although there were many speculations regarding the launch of the event, but now it has been officially confirmed.

Reuters/Thomas MukoyaWill the upcoming Microsoft EDU event focus on the unveiling of the Windows 10 Cloud operating system?

Currently, there is a tough competition to target the education market. The users will be able to download and install the Win32 as well as Universal Windows Platform Apps from the Windows Store on the Windows Cloud. Windows RT wasn't targeted at the education market, but it still served as a valuable lesson.

Despite its name, Windows Cloud has very little to do with cloud storage.

In terms of what The Verge expects to see, however, there's been lots of talk about the so-called Windows 10 Cloud OS created to take on Google's popular Chromebook.

Furthermore, it has been widely reported that Microsoft has no intention of revealing any details regarding its next line of Surface devices, such as the Surface Pro 5 and the Surface Book 2.

Microsoft Spring event will happen on May 2 and it is interesting to find out if the rumors come to materialize.

Another possible launch could be a new Windows 10-powered Chromebook, which have proved popular in schools around the world.
