Indian ISIS miltants reportedly killed in US' MOAB attack in Afghanistan

Remains of Islamic State fighters lay strewn in the grass yards away, casualties of a battle for control of the area that began more than two weeks ago, Afghan commandos told the first journalists to arrive in Asad Khel since Thursday's bombing.

The recent action by the Trump administration to kill affiliates of Daesh, also known as ISIS or ISIL, in the Nangarhar province of Afghanistan shows that the newly formed US government really cares about the safety of the people who live in the region.

The report also identified two militants killed in the raid as Commander Mohammad, an Indian national and Geeta, an Indian national.

A total of 96 ISIS fighters were reportedly killed in the bombing.

However, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) has not confirmed the report and said it is verifying the claim.

The US military previously estimated ISIS had 600 to 800 active fighters in the area. The Pentagon said USA forces in Afghanistan dropped a GBU-43B on an Islamic State target in Afghanistan on Thursday, April 13, 2017, in what a Pentagon spokesman said was the first-ever combat use of the bomb.

Afghan President Ashraf Ghani said he approved of the strike, and it was created to support Afghan and U.S. forces conducting clearance operations in the region.
