Another source claims Intel will launch X299 and Skylake-X at Computex

According to Taiwanese PC industry insiders Intel is responding to AMD Ryzen pressure by accelerating its processor and platform release schedule.

As PC World stressed, the $30 price slash to the low-cost yet top-of-the-line AMD Ryzen 7 1800X is arguably one of the best tech deals we've had in a long while. The reasons for having this launch advanced could be the concern with regards to the power-price relationship of AMD Ryzen, especially with the Ryzen 7, being also more energy efficient. As far as the performance output of AMD Ryzen 5 1600X processor is concerned, the system carries a proper six-core processor with a base clock at 3.6GHz alongside a boost clock of 4GHz. The first three CPUs will be based on the Skylake architecture while the last one, the quad-core, will use Kaby Lake as a basis.

Ryzen is a 1800X processor and an octacore one, which can support 16 threads being executed.

Intel's 14nm Coffee Lake architecture is also said to be moving forward with regard to its scheduled release date. A new report is shedding light on the processors Intel is preparing for the Cupertino giant's upcoming all-in-one desktop computers.

After digging through eBay Deals new offer on a 20% off coupon through select sellers (sorry, it's not all eBay), it's clear to skip the base model 1700 Ryzen 7 for $329.99 in favor of the mid-tier Ryzen 7 1700X as it is now cheaper after the eBay coupon with a drop from $399.99 to $319.99. This would likely be along the lines of a 4.4GHz base clock with a 4.6 - 4.7GHz Turbo, as opposed to a 4.2GHz base and 4.5GHz Turbo like the Core i7-7700K features. Meanwhile, check out the latest review on AMD Ryzen 5 in the video below! It looks like Intel is going to repackage the mainstream Kaby Lake into the new socket. Basin Falls consists of the Skylake-X and Kaby Lake-X processors, and the X299 chipset. The attractive offering might as well be tempting for those looking for a motherboard upgrade. So, it is a matter of time to have optimizations for Ryzen CPUs. However, come down in performance a little and AMD's Ryzen 7 becomes more affordable.
