Call of Duty WW2 beta, setting, co-op and release date details leaked

Multiplayer Description: Call of Duty: "WWII multiplayer engages players grounded, fast-paced combat across many of World War II's most iconic locations".

"Call of Duty: WWII" will officially be unveiled in a livestreamed event on Wednesday, April 26 at noon central.

"Call of Duty: WWII tells the story of an unbreakable brotherhood of common men fighting to preserve freedom in a world on the brink of tyranny".

That's not all, either- it appears that Josh Duhamel, from the Transformers movies, might be involved in Call of Duty: WW2.

"Players enlist in a gritty intense journey through the battlegrounds of war". It will feature "bold, lifelike visuals", apparently.

It promises a co-operative mode that "unleashes a new and original story".

Fans who pre order can also look forward to enjoying a private beta before the game is released, although details surrounding platforms have not been revealed.

In a February earnings release, Activision claimed this year's CoD would "take Call of Duty back to its roots".

"Sounds pretty great! Stay tuned for more information about Call of Duty: WW2 in the coming days".

Call of Duty: WWII will also feature a co-op mode with a unique storyline for gamers to play through with friends.

The DLC set primarily contains high-definition multiplayer maps inspired by campaign missions that were first introduced in much earlier released "Call of Duty" titles. Players will be able to play with friends in the next level standalone game.

It was just over a day ago that Activision announced this year's Call of Duty title would in fact be Call of Duty: WWII, confirming weeks of previous of previous rumors, but that hasn't stopped more details on the upcoming FPS game from becoming public.

Given the success of the Nintendo Switch, it would make sense for Activision to capitalise on the booming market, in much the same way as EA intend to do with their next Federation Internationale de Football Association 18 game.
