Sanders urges party to go beyond comfort zone

That's a "right." And Bernie Sanders is expected to apologize for campaigning for a candidate who's not stoked enough about it.

On the unity tour's third day, Sanders thanked Perez for his remarks and boos came from the Miami crowd.

As Sanders and Perez embark on their rebuilding tour, a special congressional election in Kansas last week showed that Democrats are still quick to blame one another in the face of defeat.

Sanders told the crowd at the Mesa Amphitheatre Friday that healthcare is a right, not a privilege, and said President Trump is not following through on his promise to fight for working Americans.

Considering that many are still unhappy with the way their Presidential candidate was treated by the Democratic Party, all eyes were on the reception they would give the new DNC Chairman, establishment candidates and whether this "Come Together and Fight Back" tour would bring everyone under the same tent. Trump won 118 of Kentucky's 120 counties. Blake, a member of the New York State Assembly, urged Texas Democrats to unseat Gov. Greg Abbott in 2018, though it is the 2018 U.S. Senate race - in which Republican Ted Cruz is up for re-election - that has so far drawn the most interest. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt. speaks in Boston.

But Sanders is using his popularity with younger Democrats to chiefly to inspire, rather than directly recruit, the younger faces he says the party needs. Thomson co-founded the local "Utah for Bernie Sanders" group during the primary, which Sanders lost to mainstream Democrat Hillary Clinton nationally after a landslide win in some states, Utah among them.

"The actions today by the DNC to embrace and support a candidate for office who will strip women - one of the most critical constituencies for the party - of our basic rights and freedom is not only disappointing, it is politically stupid", Hogue said.

The Democratic Party "has turned its back" on some states, but "from now on, the Democratic Party will be the party of 50 states, and that certainly includes the handsome state of Utah", Sanders said to a roar of cheers.

Well, never interrupt your opponent when he's making a mistake. "It is always from the bottom on up".

Customers at Coffee Tree Books in Frankfort welcomed former presidential candidate Bernie Sanders for a round table discussion Tuesday afternoon. The Vermont senator will be joined by Perez at the event Tuesday, April 18, 2017.

Kentucky is Republican turf, politically speaking. Sanders endorsed efforts to transform energy policies away from fossil fuels toward sustainable energy sources.

Bernie Sanders and DNC chair Tom Perez, together again for the first time? "I understand it. That's what politics is about", Sanders told NPR. "We have been forgotten", she said. About 850,000 Floridians fall into the coverage gap because Scott and the Republican-led Legislature have refused to expand Medicaid under the Affordable Care Act.

On Monday, Sanders kicked off the red-state tour with Perez, who narrowly defeated Sanders' preferred choice for the job, Rep. Keith Ellison of Minnesota.
