In Warsaw Speech, Trump Vows To Fight Terrorism, Back NATO Allies

One topic overshadowed Trump's Poland visit and it is likely to dominate upcoming discussions with Russia President Putin in Germany: North Korea and its growing threat to the United States and its East Asian allies.

President Donald Trump warned North Korea Thursday that he is considering a "pretty severe" response to the hermit kingdom's long-range missile test.

Maybe Trump is having pre-Putin meeting jitters?

Earlier in the day, Trump refused to say definitively that he believes Russian Federation was exclusively responsible for interference in the 2016 US election.

The US president visited Poland on Wednesday kicking off his second foreign trip. "For its protection, everyone knows this, Europe must do more".

Trump responding when a reporter asked why he wouldn't agree with his intelligence agencies that Russian Federation meddled with the 2016 elections said: "I heard it was 17 agencies, I said boy that's a lot -do we even have 17 agencies, let's check that".

"A lot of people interfere". And I think this will be the time not to renew it.

- President Trump is delivering a speech from Krasinski Square, the site of a monument commemorating the 1944 Warsaw Uprising against Nazi occupation. Before his speech, Trump will attend the Three Seas Initiative Summit, created to boost energy independence in Eastern Europe.

President Donald Trump is welcoming Croatia's commitment to boosting energy security and diversification. But I will say that CNN has really taken it too seriously and I think they've hurt themselves very badly.

"To those who would criticize our tough stance", Trump said, "I would point out that the United States has demonstrated not merely with words but with its actions that we stand firmly behind Article 5, the mutual defense commitment". His decision to abandon the agreement has been condemned by world leaders and led U.S. "And we are grateful for the example Poland has set ... by being one of the few nations that actually meets its (NATO's) financial obligations". Bad thing, very bad for our country. He went on and on and then said CNN wasn't the only fake news purveyor. "While we will always welcome new citizens who share our values and love our people, our borders will always be closed to terrorism and extremism".
