Xiaomi Mi 5X Launching On July 26?

It has been three years since Xiaomi was launched in India and to commemorate its third anniversary the Chinese company, at its Mi Max 2 launch event, announced that it will host the celebration on July 20 (Thursday) and July 21 (Friday). Priced at Rs 16,999 the Xiaomi Mi Max 2 boasts of a very large 6.44-inch Display and an equally big 5,300 mAh battery. This smartphone comes with a 6.44 inch full HD display with a resolution of 1080×1920 pixels. Design wise, Xiaomi Mi Max 2 sports a full-metal unibody design with a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, located just middle of the device. Internally, the phablet is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 octa-core processor along with Adreno 506 GPU, 4GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage.


The Mi Max 2 has 4GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable storage. There is a new 12MP rear camera which uses a Sony IMX 386 sensor, which is also present on the company's flagship, the Mi 6. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11ac, GPS/ A-GPS, Bluetooth v4.2, infrared, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a USB Type-C port. The device now also features stereo speakers, which will make the Mi Max a great multimedia player. The volume controls and power button are on the right, which means the SIM card tray will be placed on the left side of the phone. The device runs on Android Nougat 7.0 operating system.


Another highlight of the Xiaomi Mi Max 2 is the massive battery life that it offers. The phablet is company's biggest battery handset and is said to last for two days on a single charger with even a heavy usage. It measures 174.1 x 88.7 x 7.6mm and weighs 211grams. Xiaomi has launched Xiaomi Mi Max 2 in India today.


With the Mi Max 2, Xiaomi has overhauled the design elements. Mi Max 2 will be available on other e-commerce websites and offline channels from 27 July 10 am onwards. Now, Xiaomi has confirmed this through its official Weibo (Chinese social network) page, while the company also teased the arrival of the phone via its global Twitter account, which suggests that the phone will become available outside of China at some point as well.
