It's a sunny Monday and still comfortable too

We'll have blue skies through the day and things will be seasonably warm with highs in the upper 70s to mid 80s, along with low humidity.

Another pleasant evening is on the way with comfortable temperatures and humidity. Tonight will drop back into the 50s and 60s. Storm chances push south as we get later into the evening with relatively dry weather expected after midnight. Temperatures are cooling back into the 70s for the weekend.

The humidity will remain low again Monday, Hammer said, but will start to increase over the following days. High pressure over the Eastern U.S. will control Piedmont weather for much of the week ahead. That will bring warmer weather into along with rising dew points. We think a sea breeze will keep shoreline highs in the middle 80s.

Summer showers and t'storms develop during the afternoon on Thursday as the atmosphere becomes more favorable for activity.

Monday will be a few degrees cooler for the final day of July!

As a cold front passes through on Thursday, we have a good chance of seeing some showers and storms.

Skies on Tuesday will progress from mostly sunny in the morning to partly sunny in the afternoon.
