Three defendants shot dead during Moscow trial

Three gang members were killed after they disarmed guards and opened fire in a courthouse in Moscow, state media reported.

A 45-year-old man and a 40-year-old woman have been taken to the hospital with gunshot wounds from Moscow Regional Court, said Moscow Region's Health Ministry, as quoted by Russian Federation news agencies. On the third floor of the courtroom defendants encountered officers of the National Guard.

Two other criminals and three security officials were left injured during the incident in the Russian city.

The shooting occurred during an ongoing court process against members of the so-called GTA gang, who are accused of killing 17 motorists around Moscow between 2013 and 2014.
