Injured in Dolores Park Shooting

San Francisco police will station two officers at a popular Mission District park during the day and night following a shooting that wounded three people and sent others running for safety.

Another hospitalised victim is a minor and no details of his condition were being released, Andrew said.

When they were approaching towards them one of the parks people close to the group shouted that they have a gun with them and after this in a second one of the man pulled out his hand gun and start firing atleast 6 round. All three were transported to the hospital, and the Chron reports that one of the less-injured victims has already been discharged.

Police say the gunmen has not been captured.

Police are now searching for several suspects and will stay at the park this evening to investigate, KPIX reported.

The San Francisco Police Department says people should stay away from Dolores Park, where the shooting happened Thursday afternoon.

Juhasz, who has lived in the neighbourhood for more than 20 years, said the park was packed with families and tourists when the shots were fired, causing mass panic in a normally safe location.

Antonia Juhasz says she saw someone running off with a handgun and two people bleeding profusely before emergency workers carried them away on stretchers.

Two people directly behind Hatter were struck by bullets, one in the head and one in the leg, he said.

Juhasz added it was a terrifying moment because people were not reacting, possibly thinking the blasts were fireworks.

"We do know that suspects fled the scene, but we're not entirely sure which direction", San Francisco Police spokeswoman Grace Gatpandan told the San Francisco Examiner.
