See partial lunar eclipse over Qatar sky tomorrow

Celestial spectacles are a delight to witness and the partial lunar eclipse will grace the skies on Monday night, August 7, which will continue till the wee hours of the next morning.

The partial lunar eclipses will be visible throughout most of Asia (including Qatar), Africa, Europe, Australia, Indian Ocean and Atlantic Ocean, Dr Beshir Marzouk of QCH said. It will begin at 10.53 p.m. on August 7 and end at 12.48 a.m. on August 8. It was also called the Green Corn Moon or the Grain Moon.

The eclipse will start at 8:50pm August 7 (Monday) and end at 1.51am August 8 (Tuesday), according to Pakistan time. In contrast, our planet's umbra completely engulfs the moon during a total lunar eclipse, which causes the moon to appear in a dark red or brownish hue in the night sky.

The officer said people can view the partial lunar eclipse from their homes with naked eyes. A penumbral lunar eclipse occurs when the sun, the earth, and the moon align in an nearly straight line.

The complete details of Partial Eclipse of the Moon from Mysuru are given below in Indian Standard Time: Partial Lunar Eclipse on August 7.

The eclipse can be seen from all over the Arab region. During a lunar eclipse, the Moon passes first through the penumbra, taking about an hour, moving eastward by its own diameter in this time, to reach the western edge of the umbra.
