Cowboys' Ezekiel Elliott files appeal to six-game suspension

We now have a clearer picture of what that fight might look like.

This week has seen day after day of new information targeting the credibility of Thompson, whose domestic violence accusations led to Elliott's six-game suspension.

The report also details a text message in which Thompson told Elliott, "You better be smart". Here's part of the exchange, via Yahoo!

Dallas Cowboys star running back Ezekiel Elliott has been all the team have asked for and then some on the football field.

The hearing has been scheduled for August 29. I'm a white girl.

Elliot's legal representative also exploded the league in a statement for their "factual inaccuracies and erroneous conclusions" and promised "a slew of additional credible and controverting evidence will come to light" during the appeal process. "They are not going to be believe you".

Harvey said Thompson's "false statement that was revealed was she accused Mr. Elliott of yanking her out of a auto on July 21 - really it's the morning of the 22nd because I think it was after midnight". For example, Elliott was never arrested for the alleged domestic violence attack.

The NFL has already concluded that the photographic evidence, which showed bruises during a reported week when the couple shared a room, was enough to warrant Elliott's suspension. Her friend [name withheld] said they should blackmail Mr. Elliott with them; they'd be 'millionaires.' Ms. Thompson replied that she'd like to but was scared.

Elliott himself posted to Twitter that he was "surprised and disappointed" by the six-game ban and apologized for the distraction the almost 13-month-long investigation caused for his family, friends and teammates.

Ezekiel Elliott's plan to appeal his six-game suspension continues to take shape.

The NFL has declined to release their report on the Ezekiel Elliott investigation, but as with seemingly every report, leaks abound.
