House speaker Paul Ryan to tour Boeing Thursday

House Speaker Paul Ryan spoke up forcefully in a Facebook post on Monday against the recent violence in Charlottesville and the death of Heather Heyer, the woman killed when a vehicle plowed into a group of counter protestors.

Meanwhile, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell finally addressed media reports that he and Trump have grown so angry with each other that they haven't spoken in weeks.

"Tax reform is the one area in which White House and congressional Republicans are most in sync", he added.

"If we have to close down our government, we're building that wall", Trump said Tuesday at a combative rally speech in Phoenix.

Vice President Mike Pence spoke with Ainsley Earhardt today on Fox & Friends, and he responded to Paul Ryan's criticism about how President Trump handled the civil unrest that followed Charlottesville. "I think we have a word to keep, and I think we all know we have to keep our word".

During a Question and Answer session with company employees Ryan outlined the proposal and how he claims it would simplify the current tax code for individuals and corporations while increasing the rate of economic growth.

"The fact is though, given the time of year it is and the rest of the appropriations we have to do, we're going to need more time to complete our appropriations process particularly in the Senate - so that's something that I think we all recognize and understand", Ryan said. The House speaker also said that border patrol agents told him the barrier is necessary along certain parts of the landscape, during his tour of the Rio Grande Valley in February. Ryan advocated for merit-based immigration to fill gaps in the labor market and protect American workers. He said Congress will likely need a short-term stopgap bill since it needs more time to complete the appropriations this fall.

Intel had three areas of development on display. The speaker took controls of a drone for several minutes, allowing Intel to demonstrate the drone's ability to sense obstacles.
