The Daydream compatible screen also benefits from Mobile HDR10. The smartphone resembles the previously launched G6 smartphone. The latest V30 having equivalent features of Apple and Samsung.

At the ongoing IFA 2017, LG has launched the V30.

The significant factor is that the phone is just 7.3mm thick and its weight 158 grams. LG says that the smartphone is "the lightest among smartphones in the 6-inch and over category". It's also MIL-STD-810 tested, to the device should be sturdy against the elements.

"The V30 is the first global smartphone to support MQA (Master Quality Authenticated) technology that allows for the streaming of high-resolution audio".

What we get with LG V30 is a huge 6-inch OLED FullVision display with an aspect ratio of 18:9. The LG V30 will start selling in Korea from September 21. The LG G6h has a 5.7-inch display with 18:9 aspect ratio but it had IPS LCD panel rather than OLED.

Secondly, LG followed the trend and retained the dual camera system at the back.

The new smartphone has very thin bezels.

LG wants to lay emphasis on its foray into a dual camera setup in the rear with a 16MP sensor plus a 13MP sensor. With an F1.6 aperture, the lowest ever in a smartphone, more light can be let in with the shutter open for less time.

On the front, the V30 sports a 5-megapixel f/2.2 camera with an equally wide-angle FOV of 120 degrees, so you can squeeze more friends into the frame when taking selfies. The smartphone will be available in either 64GB or 128GB storage. Like the predecessor V20, on the V30 you have a second always-on screen situated right above the main display. Additionally, it features voice activation that allows users to lock the device and perform various actions.

The LG V30 comes loaded with Android 7.0 Nougat, with a barely-there LG UX 6.0 skin, which could fool some into thinking it's a vanilla Android phone.

Hardware wise, the V30 has cutting edge hardware. If you do not want to shell out too much cash in the beginning, know that the LG V30 also provides support for a microSD card, with a maximum capacity support that goes up to a whopping 2TB.

Voice recognition can also be used to unlock the device, or users can also choose to unlock their V30 with a fingerprint sensor. The V30+ will be exclusive to South Korean market.

The LG V30 also boasts a 32-bit Hi-Fi Quad DAC powered by Bang & Olufsen and also comes bundled with B&O Play earphones. The phone uses a USB-C port for charging and data transfer, and there's still a 3.5 mm headphone jack on the top.

Four colours will be available for the 64GB model: black, silver, blue and violet. Here, LG V30 is better with a better chipset.

The V30 is IP68 water-resistant, meaning that it can withstand immersion in up to 1.5 meters of water for up to 30 minutes. The camera unit comes equipped with a Crystal Glass Lens which is expected to deliver better and more accurate colors as opposed to a plastic lens.
