The Life of Jenna Burleigh

Ms Burleigh was last seen around 2am on Thursday.

A 22-year-old Temple University student was reportedly found brutally murdered Saturday (Sept. 2) after leaving a Philadelphia bar with her suspected killer, reports said.

Hupperterz was arrested by police at his grandma's home, as indicated by the Philadelphia Inquirer.

Police say Joshua Hupperterz, 29, admitted to 'elements of the crime, ' as indicated by the New York Daily News.

Joshua Hupperterz, 29, was arraigned early Sunday morning in Philadelphia on charges of murder, abuse of a corpse, tampering with evidence and possession of an instrument of crime.

Police also found "10 to 15 pillow case-size bags of marijuana" and approximately $20,000 in cash in the apartment, according to the Inquirer. Philadelphia police said Sunday a body found on property belonging to Hupperterz's relative was identified as Burleigh.

It's unclear of Hupperterz has an attorney, according to court documents.

Later that day, Burleigh's father reported his daughter missing, launching a missing-persons investigation by local and campus police.

Police believe Mr Hupperterz met Jenna Burleigh at a bar, but investigators say there was no indication of a prior relationship between the pair.

State police at Honesdale assisted Philadelphia police and the FBI with the current investigation.

Multiple news outlets also reported Saturday that police began searching a home along the 800 block of Waverly Avenue in Jenkintown, according to multiple reports.

Late Saturday, Ed Burleigh, Jenna's father, posted a photo of his daughter on Facebook, with a simple caption: "Our Beautiful Angel Jenna is now in Heaven".

"Now I know for sure that you can have a "broken heart".

Burleigh had just joined the university that week as a junior transfer student from Montgomery County Community College.

Police released pictures of Burleigh (seen below), who's from Lower Salford in Montgomery County.

Anyone with information is asked to call Temple Police at 215-204-1234.

In a statement, the Temple Student Government said: Those that knew Jenna described her as "big hearted", "hilarious", "fiercely feminist", "unapologetically herself", and "an incredibly woke young woman". Temple's confidential tip line can be reached at 215-204-6493.
