Woman pulls gun during fight over school supplies at Walmart

Talk about a stressful shopping experience.

The argument began as a verbal tousle over an exercise book in the back-to-school aisle of chain store Walmart, but quickly escalated to a criminally high level.

The fall school year nearly began with attempted murder charges for one MI woman after she pulled a gun in a Walmart over school supplies.

Customers and staff scattered after the gun was brandished, as can be seen in video capturing the chaotic scene shared by a bystander.

"It was in the back-to-school section over a notebook", Novi Police Det.

The two women pulled the 20-year-old's hair, and the woman's mother was pushed aside before pulling out a gun, according to Fox2Detroit. "There has been a bit of pushing and shoving, and they began to argue about who had to buy the book", continued the policeman.

According to the paper, police reviewed the footage as part of their investigation and then submitted the case to the Oakland County Prosecutor's Office for review and possible charges. Scott Baetens called it a "senseless act of violence all the way around".

"She's a valid (Concealed Pistol License) holder", the detective said. But a mum in the U.S. has taken the angst to a whole new level one pulling a gun on several other women during an argument over school supplies.

Police said the gun was loaded but no round was in the chamber.

The four women involved in the incident, who range in age from 20 to 51, could face charges, police said. "I don't know how they ended up with it, but in the middle of the confrontation, they ended up with it and they purchased it", Baetens said.
