Patty Jenkins Has Finally Closed A Deal To Direct Wonder Woman 2

After months of negotiations, Variety is reporting that Petty Jenkins will return to direct the Wonder Woman sequel. And with Wonder Woman's pivotal role in Warner Bros.' new mantra of optimistic and "fun" superhero movies, why wouldn't Jenkins be at the helm of this new direction? However, sources said that it's around $8 million for Jenkins to write, direct and produce the sequel. Sources say her paycheck will be somewhere in the $7 million to $9 million range, this time around.

This agreement will make her the highest-paid female director of all time, topping the $5 million that What Women Want and It's Complicated director Nancy Meyers earned at the height of her box office appeal.

And DCEU closed the deal with director Patty Jenkins to direct Wonder Woman 2

The first film has earned Patty Jenkins the distinction of being the director of the highest grossing film made by a woman, leaving behind Sam Taylor-Johnson's Fifty Shades of Grey.

It turns out that Jenkins was hard at work on making sure she was paid adequately for what she achieved as the director of Wonder Woman. The others are Marvel movies, Avengers: Age of Ultron (number 3, with $459 million), and The Avengers (still number 1, with $623 million).

Because of that, Jenkins didn't have a multi-film deal already in place when her movie began shattering records, but was basically on contract for a one-and-done.

Wonder Woman 2 is set for a release in 2019, but we can catch Diana this year in the upcoming Justice League on November 17. The film was produced by Charles Roven, Deborah Snyder, Zack Snyder and Richard Suckle, with Stephen Jones, Geoff Johns, Jon Berg, Wesley Coller and Rebecca Steel Roven serving as executive producers.
