Mauricio Pochettino proud of "deserved" derby win

The Englishman helped the Hammers secure a 3-0 victory in the Carabao Cup at the London Stadium, having previously missed the win over Huddersfield Town and draw against West Bromwich Albion.

West Ham United must recall positive memories from previous encounters against Tottenham Hotspur to claim a third straight home win over their London rivals, manager Slaven Bilic has said.

Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has said that midfielder Mousa Dembele needs to be managed carefully, having left the Belgium worldwide out of the starting XI for his side's previous two Premier League fixtures.

Spurs will be without Victor Wanyama, due to a knee injury, while Erik Lamela and Danny Rose also remain sidelined.

West Ham effectively ended Tottenham's title hopes last season with a 1-0 win in early May and, buoyed by a three-match unbeaten run, Bilic is hoping for a repeat this weekend.

The striker pulled off the back of Moussa Sissoko expertly in the second half to head home, and almost found the back of the net once more, finding an inch on Davinson Sanchez to get a shot away which Hugo Lloris could only parry away.

West Ham's form this season has improved in recent weeks, with the Hammers now sitting on a three-match unbeaten run, scoring five goals at home in the process.

"From Spurs' point of view I don't think it's a fixture you want to lose", Redknapp said on Sky Sports.

Overall, Kane has scored 19 goals in 28 Premier League London derbies for Tottenham Hotspur.

Bilic has won all three of his home managerial meetings with Mauricio Pochettino by a single goal to nil, including two with West Ham and one while in charge of Besiktas in the 2014-15 Europa League group stage.

Kane said: "We know we just have to improve our home form and we should be right up there". We tried to get the ball off them as high as possible and break quick, which was really good. It's so important and we need time to engage everything, to have different alternatives to play and try to win. He's looked like he's been lost at times when trying to unlock West Ham's difficulties, but West Ham fans are still hopeful that he can figure out what needs to happen to get this team rolling again.

It was a rather open affair in the first half, however Spurs raced into a two goal lead in the space of three minutes, both from Harry Kane.
